Cambio de Colores is a multistate conference about integration of immigrants in new destinations. People from various fields who work with Latinos and immigrant communities come together to share research and best practices that facilitate the integration of newcomers. The 17th annual Cambio de Colores conference will take place at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) on June 6, 7 and 8, 2018. This year’s theme is “Latinx in the Heartland: Fostering Resilience and Cross-Cultural Connections” (read about the theme and the term “Latinx” here).

The Call for Presentations (view it here) deadline has passed. The conference invites people from diverse fields and activities to share their research, best practices and programs as a basis of this interdisciplinary dialogue.
The conference is organized by a planning committee, including partnerships with the Latino Alumni and Student Organization at UMKC, the Latinx and Latin American Studies program at UMKC, and the support of the UM System, among others.
